Toyota Electric Vehicle Technology Reserve -Lithium - Ion Battery Equipment
According to the plan, Toyota will launch PHEV plug-in hybrid models on the basis of Corolla dual engine and Leiling dual engine at the beginning of next year, and will first launch C-HR and Yize two EV models in China the year after next. The models promoted in the Chinese market will be better than those in other markets. As a result, Toyota will achieve a comprehensive market layout in the field of electric vehicles (HEV hybrid, PHEV plug-in hybrid, EV pure electric, FCV hydrogen fuel cell). At the same time, Toyota is also beginning to layout its electrification in the field of commercial vehicles in China.(Lithium - Ion Battery Equipment)
Comprehensive and advanced technical reserves
As the originator of hybrid power, Toyota has always been ahead of the technology in hybrid power technology. How about its strength in the electric vehicle field? In this regard, Toyota technical expert Jiu Baoxin said that the core technologies of vehicle electrification are motor, electronic control and battery. After mastering these three technologies, all new energy vehicles can be deployed through the combination of engine, charging equipment, fuel cell, hydrogen storage tank, etc. Toyota is strong in these areas.
It is reported that Toyota began to research electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles as early as the 1970s. In the 1990s, it developed and sold electric vehicles RAV4-EVs. Through actual sales, Toyota learned that there are many problems with electric vehicles. However, due to the short range, high cost and long charging time caused by carrying a large number of batteries at that time, Toyota will research and develop the electric technology accumulated by EV and turn to the technology research and development on hybrid models.
Through nearly 20 years of hybrid technology development, Toyota has formed a reserve of key technologies for electrification with motors, electronic controls and batteries as the core. The launch of pure electric vehicles in 2020 is also because Toyota needs to constantly improve its technology accumulation, overcome technical difficulties, and then promote the technology to the market.
At the same time, in the future Toyota plug-in hybrid vehicles, Toyota will continue to use the mature motor and electronic control PCU in HEV hybrid vehicles, while increasing battery capacity and solving external charging. Compared with hybrid vehicles, fuel cell vehicles still use motors, electronic controls and batteries, and add dedicated FC hydrogen fuel devices to replace the engines on hybrid vehicles. In the future, Toyota Pure Electric (EV) models will also increase battery capacity and support external charging on the basis of the three key technologies of electrification.
More than half of electric vehicles
Toyota will first officially introduce mass production EV electric vehicles in China in 2020, which will be used for commercial, shared services and other purposes. Later, it promoted the products of Toyota and Lexus to the world. Then, it is planned to launch more than 10 EVs in the world by the first half of the 1920s. In terms of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, Toyota will launch SUVs, high-end vehicles and other models, as well as commercial vehicles such as buses and trucks, in addition to the MIRAI models that have been launched in 2014. In addition, Toyota will cooperate with other enterprises to promote fuel cell technology.
Next, Toyota will set electrification options for all models sold around 2025. Continuously expand the product lineup of Prius and MIRAI, electric special vehicles. In 2030, electric vehicles will account for more than 50% of all Toyota vehicles sold, among which EV pure electric vehicles and FCV hydrogen fuel cell vehicles will account for more than 10%. When converted into sales volume, the total number of electric vehicles will reach more than 5.5 million, and the number of EV pure electric vehicles and FCV hydrogen fuel cell vehicles that do not use gasoline will reach more than 1 million.
Build battery recycling network
In the current pursuit of energy conservation and environmental protection, many car enterprises have begun to layout new energy vehicles, especially electric vehicles. The major new forces of car building are also eyeing the new energy vehicle market, and electric vehicles emerge in endlessly. However, there has always been a problem puzzling the author, that is, how to recycle vehicle batteries? This time, Toyota gave the answer.
