Research progress in flexible perovskite single crystal thin films -Lithium - Ion Battery Equipment



Recently, a team led by Liu Shengzhong, a researcher of the Silicon based Solar Cell Research Group of the National Laboratory of Clean Energy, Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, cooperated with Shaanxi Normal University to make new progress in the growth and application of perovskite single crystal thin sheet materials. The relevant research results were published in Advanced Materials (Advanced Materials DOI: 10.1002/adma. 201601995).

Perovskite materials are excellent photovoltaic, photoelectric, laser and luminescent materials due to their extremely long carrier transmission distance, extremely low defect density of state, high optical absorption coefficient and other characteristics. At present, the photoelectric conversion efficiency of NREL certified perovskite solar cells has reached 22.1%, which is close to the efficiency of crystalline silicon solar cells; At the same time, various optoelectronic devices based on perovskite materials also have broad application prospects in the optoelectronic field. However, microcrystalline perovskite thin films have many grains, grain boundaries, pores and surface defects, which are the key problems to be solved to further improve the solar energy conversion efficiency and the performance of other optoelectronic devices. In the previous work, DNL1606 group successfully prepared methylamine perovskite single crystal CH3NH3PbX3 (X=Cl, Br, I) (Liuetal, Adv. Mater.2015, DOI: 10.1002/adma. 201502597) and large size methylamine perovskite single crystal and optoelectronic device CH (NH2) 2PbI3 (Liuetal, Adv. OpticalMater.2016, DOI: 10.1002/adom.201600327) with a size of more than two inches for the first time by temperature rise crystallization method, These large perovskite single crystals show obvious advantages in developing high-performance optoelectronic devices.(Lithium - Ion Battery Equipment)

According to the market demand of the semiconductor industry for perovskite single crystals, the research team realized the preparation of perovskite CH3NH3PbI3 single crystals with controllable thickness and shape by using the mobile solution micro reaction system for the first time. Compared with microcrystalline perovskite optoelectronic devices, integrated circuit photodetectors assembled with perovskite single crystal chips have better light response, higher quantum efficiency and wider spectral response range. At the same time, the integrated circuit photodetector has obvious advantages in working stability.
