Related introduction to power lithium battery PACK system -Lithium - Ion Battery Equipment
The power battery system is usually composed of the battery cell, battery management system, and the PACK system containing functional components, wire beams, and structural components. The power battery system failure mode can be divided into three different levels of failure mode, namely the battery failure mode, the battery management system failure mode, and the PACK system integration failure mode.
PACK system integration failure mode
1. Faculture of the flow row:
If it is a bolt connection, during the later use process, the bolt oxidation and falling off or vibration cause the bolt to loose the bolt, which will cause a large amount of heat at the conductor connection. Under extreme cases, the power battery will fire. Therefore, most power battery system manufacturers use laser welding at the connection between the battery and the battery cell or the module when designing the PACK, or increase the invalidation of the flow discharge at the connection by increasing the temperature sensor at the connection.
2. The main circuit connector of the power battery system fails:
The high -voltage line of the power battery system is connected to the external high -voltage system through a connector. The performance of the connector is unreliable. Under the vibration, the virtual connection occurs, generating high temperature ablation connections. Generally speaking, the connection invalidation will occur after the temperature of the connector exceeds 90 degrees. Therefore, the connector needs to increase the high -voltage mutual lock function during the system design, or attach the temperature to the temperature sensor to the connector to monitor the temperature of the connector to prevent the connector from failing.
3. High -pressure contactor sticky:
The contactor is disconnected for a certain number of times, and most of the contactor is abolished when the large current is loaded. In the system design, the dual -relay scheme is generally used, and closed control is closed in order to avoid the stickiness of the high -voltage contactor.
4. Overcurrent protection failure:
The selection of the fuse in the high -voltage system component, which one requires comprehensive consideration of the gradient to break first. Vibration or external collision squeezing causes the power battery to change, seal failure, and IP levels are reduced. Therefore, the collision protection of the battery box structure is required during the system design.
Based on the various failure modes of the above power battery system, scientific researchers and battery manufacturers need to continuously improve the safety of lithium battery cells through continuous improvement technology and technology. Design a safe and reliable battery system, and the correct use is the ultimate barrier to ensure battery safety. Users should use the power battery system correctly to eliminate mechanical abuse, heat abuse and electricity abuse, and effectively improve the safety and reliability of electric vehicles.
