Lithium hydrogen fuel battery technology for vehicles in China -Lithium - Ion Battery Equipment

At present, hydrogen fuel powered lithium battery vehicles are gradually developing in China. According to the insiders, if 2017 is regarded as the "first year of hydrogen fuel powered lithium battery vehicles" in China, 2018 is an important beginning of large-scale commercialization. As far as domestic car owners are concerned, how far are hydrogen fuel powered lithium battery vehicles from them? Read below to find out.

Recently, at the first signing conference of scientific and technological achievements transformation in 2018, the Special Session of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Wuhan Institute of Geological Resources and Environment Industry Technology has reached cooperation with Wuhan Jiuxing Financial Holding Group Co., Ltd. on the hydrogen energy vehicle achievements transformation and industrialization project of the Institute, with an agreement amount of up to 2 billion yuan. The project is expected to produce 50000 complete vehicles annually by 2020. Coincidentally, the Japanese Economic News recently reported that Nissan announced that it would suspend the plan to develop fuel powered lithium battery vehicles in cooperation with Daimler and Ford, and focus on the development of electric vehicles. The once popular hydrogen fuel powered lithium battery technology has encountered a development bottleneck in Japan, its headquarters.(Lithium - Ion Battery Equipment)

Different from the resistance encountered by foreign countries in developing hydrogen fuel vehicles, hydrogen fuel powered lithium battery vehicles are gradually gaining momentum in China. According to the insiders, if 2017 is regarded as the "first year of hydrogen fuel powered lithium battery vehicles" in China, then 2018 is an important beginning of large-scale commercialization. For the majority of domestic car owners, how far are hydrogen fuel powered lithium battery vehicles from them?

Technology is the core

"It is a trend to replace the existing fossil energy with new pollution-free clean energy. Compared with traditional vehicles, the energy conversion rate of hydrogen fuel powered lithium battery vehicles is as high as 60% to 80%, which is 2 to 3 times that of internal combustion engines. The core technology of hydrogen fuel powered lithium battery is membrane electrode, including electrolyte film and catalyst technology." Xie Jinshui, chief engineer of Wuhan Himalayan Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Himalayan Company), said that the high cost of hydrogen fuel power lithium battery in China restricts the development of hydrogen energy industry.

In order to solve the industrialization problem of long-term dependence on imports of catalysts and other key materials required for the production of fuel power lithium batteries in China, break the long-term monopoly of a few developed countries on the key technologies of fuel power lithium batteries, and promote the localization and industrialization of fuel power lithium batteries, China has preliminarily understood and made some achievements. Recently, China's independently developed hydrogen fuel vehicles with independent intellectual property rights have been successfully tested in Xianning, Hubei Province.

"At present, we have overcome the mass production technology of fuel power lithium battery catalyst, as well as the R&D and process preparation of key materials such as membrane electrode and bipolar plate. We have obtained 17 patents, realizing the localization of key materials and parts of hydrogen fuel power lithium battery. Its cost can be reduced by 50% to 80% compared with similar imported products, and the quality and performance of some parts have exceeded those of imported products." The relevant person in charge of the Himalayan Company said that in May last year, the company had built a production line to produce 1000 sets of fuel powered lithium battery stacks for adults, and the annual production capacity would reach 12000 sets this year. This will not only break the long-term monopoly of a few countries, but also lay a foundation for accelerating the development of China's hydrogen energy industry.
