In order to develop fuel power cell technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology has set up a number of research topics for fuel power cells under the 863 program. At that time, Xinyuan Company undertook the national 863 program. It has summed up a lot of valuable relevant experience for the exploration of fuel power cells in my country, and has been successfully used in major events such as the Beijing Olympic Games and the Shanghai World Expo. During the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" and "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, Xinyuan Company has undertaken the research and engineering development of high-performance low-cost fuel power cell stacks and key materials technology by the Ministry of Science and Technology for many times. The research work on these topics has passed the national acceptance.
With the support of national policies, Xinyuan Company has lived up to its expectations and has successfully developed the second-generation system FCS200, with a power of 30-60KW, a working temperature of -10-70°C, a humidified cathode, and a working life of 5000 hours. The third-generation system FCS300 developed has a power of 80-100KW, a working temperature of -30-70°C, no need for humidification, and a working life of 5000 hours. The fuel power cells developed by Xinyuan Company have been applied to FCRoewe750 and FCRoewe950 respectively, and have passed the announcement.
Xinyuan Company has a complete range of stacks, and the stacks for passenger cars and commercial vehicles have been successfully developed. The newly developed MOD400 stack adopts metal bipolar process, which effectively solves the problem of water balance in the high and low current density regions, and its volt-ampere performance is close to that of Japan's Toyota Mirai stack. Set of methods, from the initial 1,000 hours to the current breakthrough of 5,000 hours, and the next step is to strive to reach 10,000 hours.
"Xinyuan Company will develop high-stability catalysts to improve electrochemistry and stress tolerance, so as to improve the service life of the stack." Xing Danmin said, "Demonstration operation is an important goal during the '11th Five-Year Plan' period. 'The indicators are more detailed. The power density of the 60KW vehicle fuel stack reaches 2.0KW/L, the life span is 5000 hours, and the low temperature start-up is -20℃; the power density of the 100KW vehicle fuel stack reaches 3.1KW/L, the life span is 5000 hours, and the low temperature startup -30°C."
At present, there is still a certain gap between domestic fuel power cells and the international advanced level: in terms of output power, the domestic level is 60KW, and the international level is 110KW; in terms of current density, the domestic level is 2.0KW/L, and the international level is greater than 3.0KW/L; In the above, the domestic level is 0.4g/KW, and the international level is 0.2g/KW; in other aspects, the domestic level and the international advanced level go hand in hand.
In terms of commercial application, Xinyuan Power, Guangdong Guohong, and Shanghai Panye are all engaged in the R&D and production of stacks. Guangdong Guohong has the largest output, reaching a production capacity of 20,000 stacks. Membrane electrodes, metal bipolar plates, catalysts, proton membranes and other key materials have industrial chains in China.
