However, Europe, the United States, Japan and South Korea have increased the layout of solid-state power lithium-ion batteries, formulated national strategies, increased government and private investment, and formed cross-industry industry alliances to seize the opportunity in the new generation of batteries . To this end, the my country Automotive Power Li-ion Battery Industry Innovation Alliance, my country Electric Vehicle Hundred People's Association and the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences organized a closed-door expert seminar to study the current and future technological development and competition. Academician Chen Liquan and several academicians participated in the seminar. Researcher Li Hong from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences specially prepared a report on the "Development History of Solid State Battery Technology at Home and Abroad and the Progress of Research and Development at the Present Stage". Dozens of experts in the industry participated in the seminar. The author feels that I have gained a lot from organizing and participating in this seminar, and I will now record my learning experience for the reference of colleagues in the industry.
First, in the current field of lithium-ion batteries using liquid electrolyte as a medium, my country is in a leading position in the world. Europe, the United States, Japan and South Korea have increased the research on solid-state power lithium-ion batteries, not because the liquid electrolyte lithium-ion battery technology cannot meet the development requirements of new energy vehicles, but because my country has already taken part of the opportunity, and they hope to restore the disadvantage in the field of new-generation batteries . We should be aware of this, and we should not underestimate ourselves.
Second, a new generation of power lithium-ion batteries represented by solid-state power lithium-ion batteries is an important field of competition in the future. We must pay enough attention to the pot while eating. my country's current research on solid-state power lithium-ion batteries is not backward, and the number of articles published in scientific journals in the world has been in the forefront. At present, it is necessary to strengthen government support and guidance, industry-university-research cooperation, upstream and downstream cooperation, and market-oriented industrial chain construction.
Third, the research on all-solid-state power lithium-ion batteries in advanced countries such as Japan and the United States is still in the stage of technical research on the whole, and the industrialization layout has not yet begun. It is expected that after 2025, it will be possible to start industrial application. Lithium-ion batteries with liquid electrolytes still have the potential to be perfected and will remain an important driving force for new energy vehicles for a decade or more. The industry should pay attention to consolidating my country's advantages in this regard.
Fourth, the solid-liquid hybrid power lithium-ion battery (also known as semi-solid-state battery) using some all-solid-state power lithium-ion battery technology, my country is ahead of the world, and the technology is nearly mature and has begun to be industrialized. This type of power lithium-ion battery has certain advantages in energy density, safety performance, etc., and has good process inheritance, which deserves the attention of the whole industry. In the eyes of a layman like the author, it can be regarded as the technical route of "icing on the cake".
