The project of "Power Battery Cascade Utilization Heterogeneous Compatible Energy Storage Power Station" jointly developed by Anhui Risek, a subsidiary of Chery Group, and the School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering of Shanghai Electric Power University, has successfully solved the technical bottlenecks in the compatible application of power batteries of different brands, aging degrees, and structures.

Taking the retired power battery as the energy storage carrier of the substation, continuing to play the residual value can extend the life cycle of resources, which is an important link in the environmental protection chain of new energy vehicles. How to make all kinds of retired power batteries compatible with energy storage power stations is another difficult problem.

Anhui Ruisaike Renewable Resources Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Chery Holding Group, and the School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering of Shanghai Electric Power University jointly developed the project of "Heterogeneous and Compatible Energy Storage Power Station for Cascade Utilization of Power Batteries", which successfully solved the technical bottlenecks such as the compatible application of power batteries of different brands, aging degrees and structures.

Founded in 2004 and officially listed on the New Third Board in March 2016, Ruisaike is one of Chery's internal scrapped car recycling and dismantling enterprises approved by the Department of Commerce of Anhui Province and one of the pilot automobile parts remanufacturing enterprises approved by the National Development and Reform Commission.

It is reported that the project of "power battery cascade utilization heterogeneous compatible energy storage power station" of Risec has three major technological innovations:

First, through heterogeneous compatibility, five types of batteries, different group structures and different periods of decommissioned power batteries can be used in a compatible manner; "Heterogeneous compatible controller" is used for power balance control, forming an overall energy storage system, reducing the cost of battery screening. The evaluation committee headed by Gu Guobiao, an academician of the CAE Member, believes that the project uses retired batteries of electric vehicles to build compatible heterogeneous energy storage power stations, which is in line with the national policy guidance for the reduction, recycling and comprehensive utilization of industrial solid waste; The overall technology adopted by the project is at the international advanced level. It has made beneficial exploration in the cascade utilization of retired power batteries of electric vehicles, which is of great significance for the popularization of the cascade utilization of retired power batteries in the future.

According to Qin Xiaozhou, the person in charge of the project, the completion of the energy storage power station project coincided with the beginning of the national standardized management of power battery recycling. The project research and development not only conforms to the national concept of "green development", but also conforms to the development trend of new energy vehicles, marking that Chery has made substantial achievements in power battery recycling.

At the same time, battery recycling is also an important part of supporting the development of new energy vehicles, realizing the recycling and cascade utilization of retired power batteries, and helping to form a closed-loop of the green and environmental protection industry of new energy vehicles.

The technology of the energy storage power station has independent intellectual property rights. The project was completed and put into use in May 2017. It has won 4 national invention patents and 2 utility model patents. It has successfully passed the evaluation of the scientific and technological achievements of the project organized by the China Hi tech Industrialization Research Association in the middle of March. Its overall technical level has been recognized as "international advanced level" by the project evaluation committee
