Apple improves battery life -Lithium - Ion Battery Equipment

Now we have acquired Dialog, the world's largest power management chip manufacturer. With its power management chips and excellent R&D talent team, we believe that Apple's product safety and endurance will reach a new level in the future.

For a long time, the batteries in most of Apple's product lines have been widely criticized, such as the iPhone, apple watch, AirPods, etc., which have not really attracted enough attention from Apple. However, a news recently made the fans have new expectations for its battery management and battery life.

According to foreign media reports, DialogSemiconductor announced in London that it would enter into a US $600 million deal with Apple, including patent authorization of power management technology, transfer of some assets and transmission of 300 R&D engineers to Apple. Deluge is the world's largest manufacturer of power management chips, and also a supplier of iPhone power management chips that has worked with Apple for many years.

As early as the first half of the year, there was a rumor that Apple was going to develop its own power management chip. Affected by this news, the stock price of Daloggan was hit hard at that time. The announcement of this acquisition (Dialog described it as an asset transfer and license agreement, so it was determined to be an acquisition) made Deluge's stock rise against the trend.

At present, the transaction is still pending approval and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2019. Apple will first pay $300 million in cash to purchase part of Dialog Semiconductor. In addition, Apple also committed to further invest $300 million as an advance payment for the purchase of Dialog products by Apple in the following three years, including the development and supply of audio subsystems, other mixed signals, power management, and charging IC.

As part of the transaction, in addition to technology and products, 300 Dialog talent teams will join Apple, accounting for 16% of Dialog's total employees. It is reported that these employees have been working closely with Apple in chip design for many years. This is also the largest number of acquisitions Apple has ever made. In addition, Apple will also take over some of the equipment in Italy, Britain and Germany.

"Dialog has profound expertise in chip development. We are glad to have this group of talented engineers who have supported our products for a long time and now work directly for Apple," hardware SVPJohnySrouji said in a statement. "Our relationship with Dialog can be traced back to the early iPhone, and we look forward to building a long-term partnership with them."

Apple has shown that Dialog is very serious about making its own chips, especially in power management. More efficient power management chips can improve Apple devices such as AirPods and AppleWatch. With Dialog's technology, Apple may be able to develop a better power management chip than itself.(Lithium - Ion Battery Equipment)

Editor's comment: Thanks to the subversive products created by the leader Qiao in his early years and the subsequent development of Apple's engineers, Apple's product line has become more and more rich and has become a leader in the corresponding fields. However, the security and endurance of Apple's electronic products are the soft ribs of the controversy. Now we have acquired Dialog, the world's largest power management chip manufacturer. With its power management chips and excellent R&D talent team, we believe that Apple's product safety and endurance will reach a new level in the future.
