Analyze the structural principle of the battery management system -Lithium - Ion Battery Equipment
The battery management system is mainly composed of a charging module, a data acquisition module (including voltage, current, and temperature data acquisition), a balance module, a power calculation module, a data display module, and a storage communication module. It mainly manages and protects the use of the battery pack.
Battery Management System Architecture
The battery management system (bMS) involves microcomputer technology and detection technology, which can dynamically monitor the operating status of the battery unit and the battery pack, accurately calculate the remaining battery charge, realize battery charge and discharge protection, and promote the battery to be in the best condition. Working status, reduce operating costs and increase service life.
The structure of the battery management system is modular and distributed. The system consists of a two-level control structure, namely a local measurement module and a central processing module. Among them, the important function of the central processing module is to communicate with the upper computer through the RS232 interface, and connect with the local measurement module in the form of CAN bus network. The important functions of the local measurement module are data acquisition (mainly temperature, current, voltage data acquisition), charge and discharge control, power measurement, single cell balance, and communication with the central processing module using CAN bus technology.(Lithium - Ion Battery Equipment)
The data acquisition module in the battery management system is responsible for collecting various state parameters such as current, voltage, and temperature of the battery. The automatic charging of the charging control module is divided into three stages: pre-charging, constant-current charging, and constant-voltage charging, and the charging and discharging process is controlled according to the collected data. When appropriate, the balancing module can evenly charge a single battery through a 15W switching power supply, making the batteries in the battery pack more balanced and consistent. The power estimation unit mainly analyzes the collected state parameters, and estimates the current power of the battery according to the power estimation algorithm obtained from the research experiment. The data display unit adopts graphic liquid crystal display, which can display battery voltage, charging and discharging current, remaining power, battery temperature and charging time. The storage and communication unit regularly stores charge and discharge information (voltage, current, charge and discharge time, etc.) through the memory chip. Communicate with the computer through the serial port, and display the charging and discharging information on the computer.
